Lord Ram’s life and teachings guide and inspire a large section of humanity. The newly constructed Ram Temple in Ayodhya, India will be consecrated on January 22nd, 2024. VHPA is organizing a day of cultural and social activities to celebrate the occasion on Saturday, January 20th.
The newly constructed temple complex will include places of worship, museums, meditation halls, facilities for performing arts, and a library for spiritual studies and research. The Temple has been constructed exclusively using financial and in-kind contributions made by individuals, and community organizations.
Prayers, traditional dances from several parts of India, recitation of Hindu scriptures, a life-size model of the temple, live 3D-printing of the Ram Temple replicas, and addresses by spiritual leaders, as well as elected officials are part of the agenda. Ram Leelaa, a theatrical performance based on Lord Ram’s life will also be presented by the students of VHPA-run Hindi language classes. The event includes a vegetarian dinner. In the weeks leading up to the January 20th event, a car rally as well as a light- and-music show using Tesla cars have already been organized.
Millions of devotees and tourists from around the world are expected to visit the temple annually. To facilitate visitors, significant investments continue to be made to create infrastructure (highways, railways, an international airport, hotel rooms, sanitation, etc.) in the area. A huge economic boost to the Ram Temple region is expected, uplifting all sections of society. The Temple will be open to everyone.
